Come on out to Brock Commons on the Longwood University campus for the Longwood Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Dog Walk and 5k! This fun event is scheduled for Saturday, March 24. Registration begins at 7:00 AM, and the event begins at 8:00 AM.
Bring your well-behaved, leashed dog, or join the 5k, or just come out to watch the fun! Registration fees are $20 per walker/dog and $5 extra for a second dog. $10 for a 5k runner/walker. Vaccine records are required at registration.
WRIC Channel 8 meteorologist Katie Dupree will be the emcee for this event. We’ll have a DJ playing great tunes, plenty of raffle prizes, tables/chairs for folks to socialize, and don’t forget about the prize contests for the canine participants. Best of all, all proceeds go to support the dogs and cats of the Southside SPCA.
