We are excited to announce the establishment of a new Memorial Garden at our Field of Dreams shelter! This project, made possible by an anonymous donor and the devoted labor of a group of student volunteers from Longwood University, memorializes our special long-term residents of the Field of Dreams who have passed away. While we work hard to find loving Forever Homes for all of our residents, we recognize that some will spend their lives with us. Our Field of Dreams shelter provides sanctuary for more difficult to place animals and those with special needs, and we are thrilled to have such a facility to provide for their long-term care.
This new garden, located in a quiet, shady corner of the Field of Dreams, allows for contemplative reflection on the good work our shelter does and on many happy memories of our former residents. It turns out these old friends, in fact, did find their Forever Home. They are home at the Field of Dreams.
