We are super excited that Tailwaggers Thrift Store has re-opened. Thanks to all who came out on October 1 for our grand re-opening!! Located at 439 Railroad Avenue in Keysville, the beautiful old Neals Furniture store has undergone extensive renovations, and we are so excited that this historic downtown Keysville building will continue to be home to Southside SPCA’s Tailwaggers store.
Here is a brief overview of the exciting updates and changes we are making to the store. First, the layout of the front of the store is being redesigned to create a more open and accessible look. Second, we are expanding the floor space by adding the warehouse room which will almost triple our existing square footage. This will allow us to begin carrying furniture items! Third, we will soon be able to accept credit and debit cards for the first time.
Tailwaggers thrift store is operated entirely by volunteers! Excluding rent and utilities, every dollar earned goes directly to Southside SPCA! We are grateful to Dave and Carol Conrad for their many years of dedicated service at the thrift store as well as to the many volunteers who have helped run this store. We’re now fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers who are currently undertaking the renovations which include new flooring, lighting and a complete re-painting of the interior.
Tailwaggers is also going online! In addition to our Keysville store, we’ll begin offering quality items on Ebay. Plus, we will also be offering online promotions that will be announced on our Friends of Southside SPCA Facebook page and on our website, Southsidespca.org. Watch for these promotions to begin soon!
