Southside SPCA is a donor-supported, no-kill animal welfare organization providing care and adoption services to homeless pets in 12 counties in south-central Virginia. Operating almost entirely with volunteers, the Southside SPCA has saved over 36,000 pets since the organization’s inception in 1975.
Dedication Ceremony - April 21st, 1-4 pm - Old shelter in Meherrin - Hot dogs, Burgers, and Drinks. Parking in the Balm of Gilead parking lot just past the Citgo station. The shelter is one block east. THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE SHELTER, so you will have to walk one block. Also, please DO NOT bring your pets to this event.
Cat Adoptions - We’re at PETSMART White Oak Village (4531 S. Laburnum Ave, Henrico) Tuesday and Thursday from 5-7 and Saturday/Sunday 3-5. Kitties may be seen any time the store is open.
Dog Adoptions – We're at Petsmart off Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond (1276 Car Mia Way, Chesterfield) every Saturday from 10-2.
Volunteers needed: We are in desperate need of a part time maintenance volunteer to help out at our shelter. No skills are required. Please contact Susan Estes at sle555@embarqmail.com for more information.
