We are very happy to report that our Spay/Neuter Matching Gift Campaign, which ended on July 15, was highly successful.  It was so successful, in fact, that we not only reached, but exceeded the $30,000 goal needed to receive the full amount of the Jessica Beath Foundation’s $10,000 commitment toward the matching gifts.  This means that we received sufficient donations during the Campaign to qualify for the full amount of the $40,000 in matching  gifts from three of our supporters!

Thanks to you, we will have the funds needed to keep our spay/neuter program going strong and continue the fight to eliminate euthanasia of healthy animals in Southside Virginia.  With over 815 animals spayed or neutered through the first six months of this year, we are on track to exceed the 1,561 animals that we spayed or neutered last year, so it appears we will need every dollar raised during the Campaign.

The animals and volunteers at the Southside SPCA thank you for your compassion and generosity!
